Happy Birthday Jesus!

More than 2,000 years ago my Savior was born, in the City of David, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in manager. From His humble beginnings to His humiliating death Jesus was blameless and perfect. His birth, celebrated today, and His death are treasures given to each of us. But the best gift of all was his rising after three days in a sealed tomb. Today we celebrate the birth of a RISEN SAVIOR. May the Peace of God surround you all this Christmas.

My Boy is Seventeen!

Today Matt turned 17. He also failed Physics. So Happy Birthday to the newly enrolled summer school attendee. I wish I had a more current picture of the beast but this will have to do. Good thing he plays football, because he has blown his chance of any academic scholarship. Ah, the pains of parenting that begin with the labor and never end. Fortunately he's so stinking funny I can't hardly stay mad at him. Happy Birthday my wonderful son, I love you!

On the 12th Day of Blogging

Finally the end,
As day twelve is here.
No need to cry,
Don't shed a tear.

Because just like Frosty,
A snowman who plays.
I'll be back to blog,
Another cold winter day.

It has been real,
And it has been fun.
To all others I say,
Keep your eye on the Son.

I'll return next year,
For it's in my soul.

That's how I roll.

On the 11th Day of Blogging

It's after eleven,
On the eleventh day.
I'm ready for bed,
No more time to play.

All of my blogging,
Is just about done.
I'll finish tomorrow,
with all this jargon.

On the 10th Day of Blogging

Day ten is a win,
For all those who read.
Here's some advice,
For those in need.

Shopping online,
Is easy and fun.
No standing in line,
And in no time, you're done.

Your purchase arrives,
It's already wrapped.
Then you can settle in,
And have a night cap.

The presents under the tree,
Are pretty and fine.
So stop going to the mall,
And shop for all online.

On the 9th Day of Blogging

Finally it's here,
The wonderful nine.
Have you put up a tree?
We have a fake pine.

We made one shopping trip,
to a small gift store.
I bought something for grandma,
And for me, some decor.

It's really just towels,
with snowmen on them.
I do love my snowmen,
I think they're all gems.

Tomorrow we head out,
to my aunt's house.
I hope we all get along,
And no one gets doused.

On the 8th Day of Blogging

Believe it or not,
We are on day eight.
I forgot to post earlier,
But it's never too late.

Tonight we baked cookies,
with my good friend, Kim.
I ate way too many,
I'll just never be slim.

But who cares I say,
It's holiday time.
And we should just party,
Whilst I write my rhymes.

But for now I must go,
It's time for my bed.
